The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up just before the dealer announcing "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players attain 5 cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s value is akin to your original bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantly to the casino. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a figure in accordance with the ante. If the house has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pays out cash even with your bet and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
