January 15th, 2024 at 20:25

Phil Ivey has been branded as the best poker player on the globe by most of the top pros. Phil was born in Riverside, CA and relocated to New Jersey before reaching the age of 1. His grandfather introduced him to one cent-ante 5-Card Stud poker. From then on on, he was hooked on poker and wished to discover every little thing he possibly could about the game. He routinely would tell his elders that he wanted to be a professional poker player. He did not let the negative feedback from others destroy his ambition of being one of the greatest poker players in the world.

Phil started playing seriously after getting a fake ID by the name of Jerome. He sharpened his game at the casinos of Atlantic City. The first number of years for him were a learning opportunity and winning was not a regular outcome at the time. He made his mark at the 2000 WSOP where he made two final tables and came away with his first World Series of Poker bracelet, in a two dollar, five hundred Pot-Limit Omaha game. At the final table he destroyed quite a few of the well known professionals including but not limited to "Amarillo Slim" Preston, David "Devilfish" Ulliot, and Phil Hellmuth, Jr.

He decided to take his game to the successive level and headed out west to Vegas. Phil continues to play in "The Big Game" at the Bellagio with the greatest players in the world. Phil credits his achievements to hard work and an immeasurable love for the game of poker. He says that he is picking up skills every day and is incredibly humble about his accomplishments. He knows he makes blunders in each session of poker and constantly strives to get better.

Despite the fact that Phil has come first in some large tournaments, he likes winning money games on a regular basis.
